Drove 150 miles today with a minimum of fuss. I think I’m finally out of the “catastrophic failure right after you buy it” zone.
Also, backseat had been converted to puppy dog lounge.
And this is the 510 I was behind at the jack in the crack drive through. Picture doesn’t do it justice. Hnnnnnnnnng!

It’s only after it doesn’t break after you say you’re past the point that it will break that you are actually past the point.

Nah.

At which point, it will probably break.

Only use for the backseat of a 80s/90s Japanese 2-door is for animals and people without legs.

I hope you don't think towels are going to save (cloth?) seats from a puppy. Puppy power!

Well now you see why I bought this car instead of anything worth money.

School me on WA plate laws: do the plates have to change everytime a used car changes hands?
![]() 04/02/2016 at 22:40 |

YES!!! They passed that law not long ago too. This car had brand new tabs, but I had to pay for new plates AND tabs (same as when we bought our last two cars...).
The law used to be that a VEHICLE (independent of ownership status) had to have new plates every seven years.

You didn’t happen to make it out to Exotics at RTC this morning? I saw a good looking white Celica parked on the street past the Marriott on the west side of the mall there as I was leaving with my father-in-law.

That was mine haha. Right before Bear Creek Parkway intersection.

Damn, that’s annoying. Here in BC, plates strictly stay with the owner... To compensate, they usually just hand you a fresh set and a $20 charge if you make changes to your policy but don’t know the magic word.
I thought I was imagining things when I noticed more cars with new plates than ever before, in my recent trips across the border...

Yes, and if you had no life at all, you may notice that half of my Celica posts have one plate and the latter half another.

LOL I actually did. The plate geek in me had already noticed the dearth of old-format plates before you posted hehe
